BRAND AND UX DESIGN
ASK FOR TASK
Overview
AskforTask is a proud Canadian company that is focused on one very simple mission, “to be the world’s largest local marketplace for daily errands.” The idea of AskforTask is to utilize the power of technology to bring back a sense of community and reconnect people face-to-face by matching those who want tasks done, with those who can do them.
Ask for Task desired to redefine the brand so that it would not only signify their journey so far but also solidify their brand values and future path. Swave and AskforTask collaborated to re-imagine the new brand. The new brand, including logo, icons, web, and app design, needed to reflect the re-focused trajectory of the digital platform and hone-in on what it means to be an AskforTask community member.
Challenge
As AskforTask became more established there became a need for a refreshed voice and image to better represent services and foster growth. The new branding needed to include logo, icons, web, and app design, and reflect the re-focused trajectory of the digital platform and hone-in on what it means to be an AskforTask community member.
Solution
Swave and Askfortask collaborated on the new brand direction and leveraged the “Getting Stuff Done” synergy between Askers and Taskers. As the team dove deeper into the heart of the brand, we began to see the Taskers as helpers for the home. Images of the “busy bee” and the “thriving hive” emerged. UX of app was also re-thought and website updated. A visual design was created for the whole brand.
Results
The new brand successfully launched across all branding points simultaneously including a re-vamped website. The new branding improved digital usability and created a unified visual experience for users.
